When does the registration desk open for the 2023 Annual Meeting?

Registration is located in Lobby A of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and will be open during the following hours:

Will there be WiFi available during the meeting?

Yes. WiFi will be available throughout the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

When is the Maude Abbott Lecture?

When is the Timely Topics Lecture?

The Nathan Kaufman Timely Topics Lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at 5:00 PM in the Great Hall.

When is the all-attendee reception?

All USCAP registrants are invited to attend the reception, USCAP Carnival, on Saturday, March 11 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Generations Hall. The reception will start immediately after the Maude Abbott lecture.

Where is the Speaker Ready Room

The Speaker Ready Room is located in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in room 214 and is open during the following hours:

Can I get a badge for a guest?

If you are onsite and need a guest pass, please visit the registration desk. Guests MUST be registered. A guest is any person who is not a pathologist nor a pathologist-in-training and is accompanying a Full Conference registrant at the Annual Meeting. Guest registration is required for Platform and Poster sessions, Exhibit Hall access, and the USCAP Carnival Reception on Saturday evening. Guest registration does not include attendance to any ticketed sessions. Guests will be required to attest to our COVID-19 policy and will be charged a $20 fee.

What do I do if I lose my badge?

In the event of a lost name badge or tickets, there will be a $25 replacement fee for reprints. Name badges are required for admittance into course sessions and the exhibit hall.

How do I claim credit for the conference?

To claim CME, you must complete an evaluation for each session you attend through the MyUSCAP Dashboard, https://www.myuscap.org. Log in through the dashboard and select My Previous Meetings. You will have until September 15, 2023, to claim the credit.

How do I get a Certificate of Participation?

To receive a certificate of attendance, stop by the registration desk during registration hours. After the meeting, visit the MyUSCAP Dashboard https://www.myuscap.org and select My Previous Meetings to download a Certificate of Participation.

Are meals and travel expenses included in the registration fee?

No, USCAP Annual Meeting 2023 registration does not include travel expenses, meals, hotel accommodations, or social events.

Where can I park at the Convention Center?

Parking at the Convention Center and prices are outlined in the map below. Please park in lots F-G, because those are closest to the meeting areas.

Is there an ATM at the convention center?

There are four (4) ATMs located near:

Is cash accepted at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center?

The Convention Center is a cashless facility. All retail carts and services offered onsite do not accept cash.

Where can I find first aid if needed?

Locations of first aid stations are listed below.  Availability may vary; please check hours of operation.

  • Medical 1 – Located near Hall B entrance
  • Medical 2 – Located near The UPS Store
  • Medical 3 – Located in Hall H entrance

In the event of an emergency, please dial 504-582-3040. For non-emergencies, please dial 504-582-3040.
You can use one of the many red phones located in the lobby areas.

Is there a lactation room?

Accommodations can be made at the Medical Services Stations in Lobbies B, F & H

Is there a quiet/prayer room?

The quiet/prayer room is Room 201.

Is the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center ADA compliant?
  • The Convention Center provides service ramps to entrances and elevated areas, automatic doors, an array of passenger elevators, restroom facilities, braille instructions, and directional signage at strategic locations throughout the building.
  • Mobility scooter rental is available at MCCNO at our UPS Store, in Lobby F. We welcome and encourage our guests to make arrangements in advance: Mobility Scooter Reservation Form. Wheelchairs are also available upon request.
  • Parking for persons with disabilities is offered in surrounding lots and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces are marked accordingly, and the number of spaces fluctuates from event to event
  • Service animals are permitted at MCCNO. The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal trained to assist an individual with a disability. This includes psychiatric service animals that are individually trained to serve individuals with psychiatric or neurological disabilities, such as preventing or interrupting impulsive or destructive behaviors. It does not include emotional support or comfort animals. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered at all times.  A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other guests and employees may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.

    COVID, HEALTH, AND SAFETY

    Do I need to be vaccinated to attend the live meeting?

    USCAP has implemented measures to provide a safe environment for its event attendees. All USCAP attendees, faculty, staff, and exhibitors are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any recommended boosters. The definition of fully vaccinated falls to the criteria of the person’s home country, with a vaccine approved by the World Health Organization. Refer to the World Health Organization’s list of approved vaccines and guidelines for full vaccination, including a list of approved vaccines.

    Will facial masks be required at the USCAP 2023 Annual Meeting?

    At this time, masks will not be required, but are encouraged.  Requirements for and use of masks are dictated by and compliant with the current highest standards of public health guidelines established by the State of Louisiana or the City of New Orleans.

    What other requirements will there be to enter the conference?

    USCAP will continue to review the local COVID safety recommendations to ensure the health and safety of individuals entering the conference.

    How is my vaccination validated?

    Attendees, faculty, exhibitors, and staff attending the meeting will attest that they are fully vaccinated during the registration process.

    I need a COVID test for travel. Where can I get tested?

    US Biochem will provide COVID testing. They are located at 901 Convention Center Boulevard, and their phone number is (504) 455-6000.

    POSTER INFORMATION

    Where do I find my poster board number?
    You can locate your poster board number in your abstract account.
    What if someone is in my space?

    If a poster is incorrectly mounted on your board, please visit the Poster Information Booth, #322 on the exhibit floor. Please DO NOT REMOVE the poster without staff assistance.

    Can I present my poster/platform virtually?

    No, posters and platforms must be presented at the in-person meeting in New Orleans. All presenters are required to pay the Full Access fee for the Annual Meeting. Poster presenters should be at their posters during their scheduled poster session.
